Gentle... Waves slap the sandy shore of a quiet beach on a warm summer's night A be-jeweled sky is painted above Only to distract us from the destruction within the ocean. Serene and glittering On the surface, A deep blue only found in nature But inside Living creatures are dying, Beautiful objects are killing and secrets are locked inside. Some of us plunge in the horrible beauty, And others only choose to admire from a distance. The ocean is like life, it seems. Only once you venture in, do you begin to see reality. |
