There once lived
a mouse who was bold, He'd turn down good cheese for some gold. One day he noticed a large treasury And spying some gold, he leapt in with glee. But then the door locked shut, ending his revelry Since you cannot eat gold, he became quite hungry. Several days later, the door was unlocked And the mouse scurried out of his prison box He learned a lesson, and is now wiser, you see; Don't bother with riches that put you in jeopardy. Just live with the basics, like delicious cheese, And you will be as content as you please. |
