“Not by the skin of my finny fin fin!”

Join the three little fish, as they set out on their own for the very first time to build their very own homes. But the big bad shark wants to eat them before they can finish what they’ve built! Will they ever be safe?

This novel has so many things to look at. The pages are completely filled with colours and figures, including the front and back pages. The cover is especially mesmeric thanks to its shiny appearance and full picture. The writing and the pictures are connected in the right way, and even though the illustrations give the reader a lot to look at, it is not enough to look crowded. The font is big and wonky, making it fun to read. The writing goes right onto the pictures and matches it flawlessly. The repetition is fun!  I would recommend this book for children from five to nine years old. The pictures are continually lively; and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I give The Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark five fishy stars. A new slant on the Three Little Pigs theme.
