Follow the cat on her nighttime adventure with the five shiny stars! The illustrations of the cat in this book are just adorable. Accompanying the cat throughout this short children’s book would be fun and entertaining for any child. The recurrence in the plot and the rhyme is a fun way to show your child that some words do sound the same, and make a rhyme. It is a cute story that is short and simple enough for a small child to understand. The pictures are exceptional. Keeping the attentive child on their toes, to see what is on each page. It is always just a little bit different, keeping them interested. The writing matches the pictures and in good proportions, so that the pictures and the words don’t look too crowded together. The ending of this book is like a lullaby. The words for the song that plays are right in the book, which can further help teach the child how to read. Any child from a baby to a five year old would love this book to pieces. The musical ending gives them something to look forward to whenever it is opened. I give Five Shiny Stars five adorable stars.
