sits alone, sad and weathered Patiently waiting for someone to keep it company On Saturday afternoon it will fill with giggling baseball players, Eager to have their turn to bat Somehow the weathered bench seems not so sad But soon the players drift on home and The bench must hold out for yet, another week |
