Edgar & Ellen: Mischief Manual is a manual for mischief, as the name states. It tells you everything that has to do with pranks: from how to prank and who to prank, to the perfect secret hideout for planning your pranks. All you need to know about making trouble is inside.

Edgar & Ellen: Mischief Manual is an add-on for Edgar & Ellen fans. It gives more to the series, by taking an element of the Edgar & Ellen books and making it into a how-to guide. The topic of the manual works well as a companion to the series because Edgar & Ellen are all about mischief. Even though itís just your run-of-the-mill manual, and not a novel, it was a very interesting read.

The cover of the book works with the title and has lots of color making it very eye-catching but once you turn the cover itís a little disappointing because thereís no color at all. The lack of color makes the inside of the book a bit bland and dull to look at, which might disappoint readers. The overall layout of the bookís topics is in a good order, starting from the least important, up to the most important. The humorous footnotes in the book also make it more interesting and fun to read.

I would recommend this book to kids 12 and under because itís easy to read, and the whole series is more geared towards that age group.

I give the Edgar & Ellen: Mischief Manual 4 stars.
