A frog has to grow up just like you and me! It just has a different way of growing. Have a hopping good time with Freddie the frog! Watch how he changes and grows, from a tiny baby tadpole to a healthy, hoppy frog.

This children’s book is a perfect way to teach a child about animals and how they grow; like human beings, just in different ways. The cover page starts the reader off perfectly with bold colours and a texture that the child can reach out and feel. It would make the child wonder,  ’What other cool things are inside?’ I honestly think this book can be for babies and children up to five years of age.

The writing is placed in a good spot on the page every time. The different textures are consistent with every page until the very end and the pages are full of information about frogs. The pictures are big and happy, giving the child a lot to look at but at the same time keeping it simple. I also find the hard cover and thick pages very appropriate for those small, prying fingers.

I give The Tiny Tadpole five amphibious stars!
