All I See
Michaela, Age 14, Saskatchewan, Canada

That perfect fall day,
Well maybe it wasn't so perfect,
But when I try to remember it,
That's how it seems.

The first day I remember talking to you,
Seeing your braces when you smiled,
Your brown eyes through your glasses,
Your hair, messy but perfect.

From then on
You were the only one I thought of,
You still are.
Sometimes I think I see you look at me,
Out of the corner of my eye,
But I tell myself I am imagining it.

We live in different worlds,
Not the same friends
or the same grade,
There is no chance to ever be close to you,

But that's all I want.
