The rooster had a hankering for a game-time snack with plenty of kick.

Flipping through Mrs. Nuthatcherís cookbooks, he found the solution to his problem Ö buffalo wings!

Kickoff was close, so he skimmed the directions and mixed up a spicy, sassy sauce. But something was missing.

The rooster of Nuthatcher Farm wants to have a good game-time snack for the big football game. Join the rooster in this funny tale to find the missing ingredient for buffalo wings.

This is one of many picture books written by Aaron Reynolds. Others include Chicks and Salsa, Tale of the Poisonous Yuck Bugs and Breaking Out of the Bungle Bird. I recommend this book for ages 5 to 9. Aaron Reynolds lives near Chicago with his wife, two kids and four cats. You can visit his website at www.aaron-reynolds.com.

I enjoyed reading Buffalo Wings, as the watercolour pictures by Paulette Bogan were very colourful and vibrant.  The story was interesting and amusing. The characters were also interesting. I think people should read this book because it has two recipes in it and it is quick and easy to read.  I was surprised at the ending, because it was not the typical ending I expected. I canít wait for the next book.

Lastly, I give Buffalo Wings 4 stars.
