Look to the heavens and witness the brawn and balance of BOYD TUMBLES as he turns himself into a living bridge for the famous NORWEGIAN MARCHING DUCKS!

The Painted Circus is a wonderful picture book filled with amazing optical illusions. Each page is filled with great pictures of circus acts that are made into illusions. The text tells you what each trick of the eye is while making each one seem like a normal circus act. In both top corners of the page there is a little flipbook with an animal and a person doing different things. The pictures have a lot of color and detail making the book appealing to a wide range of ages. Although the book had the same illusion twice, but in different ways of using it, it didnít really affect the book.

Overall the book is great for kids of any age. Younger kids can just look at the pictures while older kids can actually try the illusions. For those who canít figure out the tricks, thereís a page at the end of the book that tells you what to do in each circus optical illusion and what happens.

The cover of the book gives you a circus feeling that makes you want to turn the page and see what itís all about. All the amazing pictures would make it a good before-bed read for younger kids.

I give The Painted Circus 5 stars.
