Dale flashed me an evil grin as he held up the jar. "I'll give you a buck to eat it."

"It's probably spoiled," I said. We were down in his basement, surrounded by stacks of boxes and piles of magazines. As far as I could see, his folks have never thrown anything out.

"Okay, then. Two bucks." He put his hand on the lid of the jar.

This is just the beginning of one of the many spooky stories in this book. It is the third in the collection of Weenie tales. I do have to say, David Lubar makes up some of the most interesting plots I have ever read! There are so many things that you don't expect to happen. The stories all really make you want to read more. The tales are conveniently short and exciting. The Unforgiving Tree was wonderfully plotted and one of my personal favorites!

I also enjoyed his characters. I could connect with most. They think like we do! It made it all the better of a read. I highly suggest you bring this book along on your next camping trip. There are wonderful stories to read if you're looking for something to do late at night. You and your friends will love it!  I recommend this book for readers aged 8-13.

I give The Curse of the Campfire Weenies 5 weenie stars out of five! Loved it and hope you do, too!
