Here are some things that I have already learned about maps. I’ve
learned that a long time ago maps were made of clay and bamboo. I’ve
learned that there are seven continents – Asia, North and South America,
Africa, and three more.

There are four oceans but long ago people believed that the world was flat and that a man named Atlas was holding the world. Below the man’s feet they thought there were dragons and devils. But one man proved that the world was round by sailing all around the world. His name was Magellan. Many of his ships sank and he was killed in the Philippines. The rest
of the men were gone for three years but they finally proved that THE
WORLD IS ROUND! That is what I know about maps so far. |
