Leaves and branches were scattered all over the place. Our garden was like a mud pool. The newly planted grass seeds had flowed in rivulets into one massive mound.

It was a sweltering summer evening. I was at home
when I heard the sky rumble. I looked through the window and I saw dark heavy clouds swallowing the blue sky. The lightning flashed. The wind howled. “I’m scared” exclaimed my sister. She loathed storms just like me. The rain thudded against the roof. It poured from the sky. The wind shook the trees viciously making the branches and leaves rain. As I was comforting I thought “Will I come out of this alive?”
