"Hold up, will you?  Stop! Hey, Stop!”

The bus taking me to my dads place had started to pull out of the Toronto terminal when someone came running alongside, hammering on the vehicle and yelling for the driver to wait.

A few years back when a special guest visits The Castle of the Moon, a precious jewelry box is stolen. Paige and Joel get wrapped up in the mystery of WHO and WHERE. As in, who took it? And where did they put it?

I loved the main characters: Joel, a short, smart, almost 13 year old who almost shoplifted, and Paige Duggan, a classmate who lives with her now legal guardian, Birdie, on Turtle Lake. The reason I loved the main characters is because they felt so real to me. I felt like I was in a movie!!! They were so full of adventure, humour, and creativity and not to mention bravery!!

I thought that Treasure at Turtle Lake was simply wonderful! The descriptions, the action, the mystery, and the humour! I think that whoever likes adventure would like this book because there’s LOTS of adventure. It’s a fast-paced, exciting and fun book to read. When I looked at the cover, I knew I would like it because it gave a sort of warmth that I like and expect well-written books to have. I also liked how the words flowed across the pages like water on sand. Ages 8 to about 12 or 13 would enjoy this book.
