A few years back when a special guest visits The Castle of the Moon, a precious jewelry box is stolen. Paige and Joel get wrapped up in the mystery of WHO and WHERE. As in, who took it? And where did they put it? I loved the main characters: Joel, a short, smart, almost 13 year old who almost shoplifted, and Paige Duggan, a classmate who lives with her now legal guardian, Birdie, on Turtle Lake. The reason I loved the main characters is because they felt so real to me. I felt like I was in a movie!!! They were so full of adventure, humour, and creativity and not to mention bravery!! I thought that Treasure at Turtle Lake was simply wonderful! The descriptions, the action, the mystery, and the humour! I think that whoever likes adventure would like this book because there’s LOTS of adventure. It’s a fast-paced, exciting and fun book to read. When I looked at the cover, I knew I would like it because it gave a sort of warmth that I like and expect well-written books to have. I also liked how the words flowed across the pages like water on sand. Ages 8 to about 12 or 13 would enjoy this book. Peggy Dymond Leavey has written The Deep End Gang, Finding My Own Way, A Circle In Time and The Path Through The Trees plus many more. If you want to learn more about her go to: www.peggydymondleavey.com I’ll give Treasure at Turtle Lake 5 shimmering stars to treasure. RATING:
