Kirsty Tate folded her sweatshirt and put it into her bag. "There,” she said to her best friend, Rachel Walker. " I'm all packed.”  She looked at the clock on Rachel's bedroom wall. "Six o'clock already!" Kirsty groaned. " Mom and Dad will be here to pick me up soon. I can't believe this week is almost over, can you?"

Kirsty Tate and Rachel Walker are two ordinary girls, except they’re also fairies, having many adventures. This time, when they reach Fairyland, all the fairies’ wings have faded. Jack Frost has stolen the jewels. Kirsty and Rachel have found six of the seven shimmering gems, but without the diamond in the Queen’s crown with the others, none of the fairies can fly!

Daisy Meadows is the author of the entire RAINBOW MAGIC series; a series of short reads for ages 6-10. Meadows has written 68+ books so far about fairies. Each series includes 7 stories. For instance, Crystal, the Snow Fairy belongs to The Weather Fairies series. To learn more about the books and meet the fairies, go to: http://www.rainbowmagic.co.uk/home4.html

Lucy the Diamond Fairy is a fun, short read that finishes off The Jewel Fairies series. This book has action in it, kind of like a battle between Jack Frost and Lucy, but Kirsty and Rachel are there, too. If you like a little action, then pick up the series and start reading!! You shouldn’t read this book if you haven’t read any of the other books in the series because it wouldn’t make sense. Anyone that’s interested in fairies and fiction would like this book.

I’ll give Lucy the Diamond Fairy 4 diamond stars!
