It’s raining outside and I still have my pride
  but no boots to complement my blue jeans.
So, I’ve got the blues, yup, the Yellow Blues.
  (Don’t yellow and blue make green?)

Jane wants some yellow rain boots; no, she NEEDS them.  She drops her parents all sorts of hints but they just don’t seem to get the idea of “new boots.”  The first day of school is approaching fast and Jane still doesn’t have her yellow boots.  What will she do?

Yellow Blues is funny and imaginative by Vancouver author and illustrator Sean Moore.  The cover is inviting and the title is mysterious.  The text was very easy to read and some words had special designs which added to the story. This book would be good for a three to eight year old child.

I will give Yellow Blues four blue stars.
