The stains on my face
are from crying
myself to sleep, but,
no one will help me.

The stains on my wrists are
from my aggravation,
I cut them, but,
no one will help me.

We're alone in this place of darkness,
no light ever touches us,
the ones whose dreams are crushed,
and hearts are smashed, but,
no one will ever help us.

My parents say I'm changing,
Say they miss the old me, but,
What they donít know was,
that door was locked
a long time ago,
leaving me in darkness.

My friends donít help,
they pretend Iím not there,
I wear a mask around them
now so they donít see,
the monster Iíve become.

We're alone in this place of darkness,
no light ever touches us,
the ones whose dreams are crushed,
and hearts are smashed, but,
no one will ever help us.
