Nick Freestone is a young boy caught in a war in 1941.  Mya is a about the same age as Nick and wants to become an Elephant rider; but they donít allow women.  The story takes place mostly in Burma on a teak plantation.  The problem is the Japanese are invading Burma.

This book is an action/mystery story.  Other books by this author include Zachís Lie, Jackís Run, Cryptid Hunters, Thunder Cave, Jaguar, The Last Lobo, and Sasquatch.  I would recommend this book for age 9 and older because of the mild violence, slavery and death.

I think Elephant Run is a good book because it has a lot of suspense. Another thing that makes it a good book is that they find secrets within secrets. Lastly, Elephant Run has a very good plot.

I give Elephant Run 5 stars.
