Then the chalk fell from Nancy’s hand, her mouth opened wide, and out came that word, the one that rattled Jake’s confidence.

Riding down mountains on a mountainboard is Jake and Peter’s idea of having fun.  While working with a tour group, Peter and Jake get to go on a boarding trip to the U.S.  While on the boarding trip not everyone gets a long with each other and there are some disagreements.  Then it turns out that the best two will get jobs with the company.  Goals need to be put aside in order to get down the mountain safely when it starts to erupt. Will everyone finish the trip safely in Mountainboard Maniacs?

This book is the tenth and final book in the Take it to the Xtreme series.  Pam Withers has written nine other books in the Xtreme series, so if you liked any of the other books in the Xtreme series, I’m sure you will love this book. This book was enjoyable.  I liked the ending the most.  I only put the book down when I had to. It only took a few chapters before I was hooked.  I could believe the plot, the description was excellent, and I could envision everything in my mind.  The conclusion, I thought, was excellent, but I wish there was going to be more books.

I give Mountainboard Maniacs 4 stars.
