If it’s yellow, let it mellow,
If it’s brown, flush it down.

I enjoyed You Can Save the Planet quite a bit.  After I finished reading it, I wanted to conserve energy and recycle.  This book helped me make changes around the house.  I think kids should read this book because it can help them make their house “green” and help save the environment. Also, it’s interesting and kids can tell others how to be “green” and learn about the environment.  It was easy to read, and it grabbed my attention; I think this is an excellent book and that kids should all get a chance to read it.

This non-fiction book was interesting and made me want to read it.  If you like books on how to save the environment you’ll like You Can Save the Planet.  It was well organized and it had fact boxes and sidebars in key places, also the table of contents was very easy to use.  It had a variety of different illustrations (by Sarah Horne) that fit the captions and text making the book attractive and inviting.

You Can Save the Planet is a book packed with ideas to make your home, school, neighborhood, and planet more GREEN. I give this book 3.5 stars.
