“It’s him.”  Dan showed Amy the photo- an older man with gray hair and a black suit crossing the street.  The photo was fuzzy, but it must have been taken in Paris.  Dan could tell from the stone buildings and the French signs.  “The man in black is here.”

The main characters in The 39 Clues: The Maze of Bones are Amy and Dan Cahill.  The story takes place in modern time all around the world.  The problem is that the members of the Cahill family are given a choice $1,000,000 or the first of 39 clues to a secret that will make you the most powerful human being on earth.  Amy, Dan, and many other Cahills choose the clue.  Now the race is on; make it to the finish line or die trying.

I think that The Maze of Bones is an action-mystery book that I would recommend for ages ten and up.  If you have read The Three Investigators you will like this book.  Also, I think that someone would like to read this book because Rick Riordan is very good at writing the suspenseful parts of the story.  Also he was able to make a mystery within book while still having a good action piece written out.  And lastly he is able to write a very astounding plot that will invite all readers to come and read the series of The 39 Clues.

I give Book One: The Maze of Bones in The 39 Clues series 5 stars!
