In Memory of Our Soldiers
Hannah, Age 15, Langley, BC

Where death bells toll and salt tears flow,
Where memories lie and dead bodies show,
We remember our soldiers who fought in the war,
Who slept on a cot and now live no more.

We remember the lives that they gave for us all,
They gave and they died, they lived but to fall,
They gave up their bodies, their minds and their strength,
Only to suffer for a terrible length.

The price of victory oft is dear,
While the war lasts, the end is never near
The least we can do is to honor those men,
Who fought and died for freedom, my friend.
