The City
Byron, Age 14, Harrisburg, PA

The city
So loud, so bright, so big
It seems as though
It is alive

The buildings
Of steel, of metal, and wood
Look down at
All the rest

The city hums, the city buzzes
Cars honking and people talking
As they pass on by
Like tiny fish
In a vast sea

And as night comes 'round
The city lights up
The lights so bright
Like golden stars
In an obsidian sky

The city
So loud, so bright, so big
It seems as though
It is alive
