Leaf
Victoria, Age 10, Liverpool, England

Held in its mother's hands,
Sits the crispy leaf,
The sun throws its rays against it,
As it dodges them; vigorously.

The leaf,
Ever so content,
Is shocked to see,
His back is rested against the grass,
She has let him go.

The Autumn passes by,
As the leaves' colours change,
From green to orange,
As the happiness fades.

He knows he is now forgotten,
As he brushes against the road-side,
Autumn's harsh weather,
Has forced him...
To death.
