As Seen from Outer Space
Scott, Age 10, Pomeroy, WA

The most important thing about the Great Wall of China is it is 4,000 miles long and can be seen from outer space. The Great Wall was built to match China’s landscape. It travels across deserts and mountains and goes east to west. The Wall is 15 feet thick at the top, 25 feet thick at the base and 30 feet high. If the workers complained or tried to run away they would be buried alive. The Great Wall of China is called the longest graveyard because so many people died while building it. But the most important thing about the Great Wall of China is it can be seen from outer space and is 4,000 miles long.
