Once, but only
once, I woke up to find myself not in my own bed . . .BUT IN SOMEBODY ELSE'S
HOUSE! I got out of bed and looked around. Then I started to explore the
mysterious house. At first, all I saw was darkness and flashing door
knobs. But then my eyes got used to it and I saw what was in the house.
There was a beautiful treasure chest near the embroidered pink satin walls
filled with beautiful gleaming jewels and long silk dresses. I didn't know
where I was, nor what I was doing in this strange house ... or how I had
gotten there!
I went outside and found a very large dog wearing a crown, fishing. I tapped him on the shoulder, and I asked him lots of questions. He answered them all. Then I went into a different house, and, just as I was beginning to explore it, Nakita waved her hand in front of my face. “It`s your turn,” she said. I had been daydreaming! Then I took my turn at the game my friends and I had been playing. Mom was waiting for us with a snack on the table! We had the snack. Nakita had nine apple slices and four Ritz crackers and two glasses of milk. I had two glasses of juice and seven apple slices and six Ritz crackers. Kathryn had five black olives, (to put on her fingers and eat them off her fingers,) six Ritz crackers and one glass of juice. Then we finished the game. Next, we brushed our teeth and went to bed ... and the next morning? I found myself in my very own bed. Then, after my breakfast of bread and cereal I told them the whole story of my daydream from beginning to end ... and that's the end of this story for you, too. |
