In this humorous Dragonology book, the pictures look like they are going to fly off the page.  The wonderful illustrations on each page make it more of a pleasure to read every time.  Each dragon is introduced with its illustration and many descriptive elements such as its call, the food it eats, its habitat and many more.  In the chapter “Dragons and Humans”, you will be amazed with the training tips for dragons and how to safely observe dragons without being burnt to a crisp.

Judging by the cover, I expected this book to be serious, yet in fact it was the opposite. This is a good book for any occasion, as you can open it to any page and begin reading about these mighty creatures.  The age group is 7 and up because it is expected to be scary, but it is really quite humorous.  Although a seven year old would enjoy listening to this book, the reading level is probably at Grade 4.  If you like wizardology then you would like this for a guide or reference to all of your dragon needs.

My expectations were definitely met with this fantastic book. I highly recommend this to anyone that is interested in magic, wizardry or dragons.  I found the art in this book absolutely amazing as each picture contained beautiful detail.  I especially liked the riddles, which stumped both family and friend.  The type of paper used to make this book makes it look old and mystical.

I am amazed at the creativity put into this book and I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
