The Day an Alien Came to My Town Sol, Age 9, Lindley, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England |

One beautiful day a smart and clever boy called Sol
was walking in a cornfield, which was huge. He came here every
Saturday. While he was doing this, he was
writing a letter to his grandparents (Nanny and Grandad). Suddenly the
ground began to shake. “Help!”
he cried, but it was no use.
No one could hear him! Just then an enormous
silver saucer was in the sky!
It appeared that the shaking had happened to everyone else in the town too. The spaceship seemed to be coming closer and closer. Suddenly a tall man rushed from his butcher shop and said, “Let’s get our wheels on the road!” It seemed that everyone agreed because they were all in their cars and driving away! But Sol didn’t have a car and neither did any other child, and they all seemed to be petrified! Meanwhile the spacecraft landed very softly on the kerb in town. The door opened into a ramp and a green, slimy, three eyed, four armed alien walked down it. Just then it took of its head and Sol realised that it was a costume--and the person who was wearing it was Frank, the 27 year old bully. He loved to freak out the townsfolk, and Sol realised it was a vicious prank. Frank spent the rest of his life behind bars. |
