Deep Sea Diving
Melissa, Age 14, Alameda, CA

You’re on a boat, rocking back and forth,
Starting to get sea sick, your stomach’s heading north.
Around water with no land to see,
Your body immediately wants to flee.
But with nowhere to actually go,
You escape down below.
Deeper than deep, to the depths of the sea,
You splash right in, carefree.
Diving, diving, faster yet,
You wiggle your way down, no sweat.
Searching for nothing really,
You just look for things that are silly.
Fish are in a tornado around you,
Swimming fast, yellow, purple, and blue.
What an experience you must not forget,
Diving below, the sunset.
