“Sweetie, I’ve been thinking,” she said.

It was the day before my flight. I’d been watching her getting more and more anxious all day, so I didn’t like where this was going.

“About what?” I asked.

“You're going to wind up regretting this.”

“I’m going,” I said.

“No, Roxy, I’ve changed my mind. I have a horrible feeling that Aunt Gretchen was right. A broken heart is all that can come of this--of going to him.”

“I’ll risk it,” I said.

Roxy takes a trip to Greece to see her dying grandfather, a grandfather that she has never met. It’s not magical Shangri-La, but when she starts to fall in love, she discovers that Greece holds more intrigue, love, and adventure than she could ever have imagined. Roxy must untangle her own feelings and solve a mystery that runs deep in her family.

PJ Reece has one other book out, Smoke That Thunders, and is writing another called I Swallowed a Saint. If you want more information on PJ Reece visit Roxy is a good read for teens.

I thought Roxy had an interesting plot to hold your attention, but it’s not one of those books that you can’t put down. I think that the characters develop in a predictable way, but the overall story is quite exciting and a bit suspenseful.  I give Roxy four stars.
