Ode to My Library
Nicolette, Age 11, National Park, NJ

Fresh air comes and goes and the curtain floats in the light breeze
The mural on the far away wall stares right back at me
Surrounded by adventure in all places and times
Yet others still refuse to read anything but one line
A dragon from a far off land, a fairy from this world
The King and Queen listen carefully to the Herald
My library is where they hide
Lined up from side to side
And in the end it's all okay
Because the books will sneak away
With me so I can always stay
In my far off land.
